Get a shelf-stable copy of your photos and videos right from your phone. LongYou mails you a physical copy (a ‘Matrix’) of photos and videos of your choice, even your entire photos library. You can browse photos and videos in your Matrix directly on your computer using a standard DVD drive, or simply keep it in your important documents folder for your peace of mind.
You can also compose photos and videos into Memories and keep a life journal that gets mailed to you periodically. This way, you can make sure you always have a copy of your favorite moments no matter what happens to your online accounts.
LongYou Matrix uses optical disk archiving, which is how libraries and museums preserve important digital documents. These discs are compatible with standard DVD drives and are rated to be shelf stable for 100 years. In addition, LongYou translates your data from Apple’s proprietary formats into open formats(JPG, MP4) that are compatible with all computers.
To browse, simply load the Matrix disc, open the top level index file and you can browse all of your photos and videos organized by time. You can also access the media files directly using the filesystem.
To keep the size of your data set manageable, LongYou resizes your photos and videos to 640x480 pixels. It resembles the size and resolution of a physical 4x6 photo. If desired, you can reconstitute them to full resolution using AI enabled photo enhancement services such as NVIDIA Image Inpainting, or Apps such as Remini. See a sample Matrix on theLongYou.com
